IASP changes association name, adds 'areas of innovation'
At the General Assembly at the 2012 IASP World Conference in Tallinn, the proposed new name for the organisation was approved. The official full name of the IASP is now the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation, although the IASP acronym will remain the same.
The new name reflects the evolution of the STP industry and IASPs membership base, and moves to include new types of innovative projects and parks. Including these more evolved models of parks and areas of innovation will inject new dynamism and provide more networking opportunities to our association.
